For psychiatric evaluation and medication management on site, the Barrington Center staff works collaboratively with the following psychiatric consultants.
Marlene E. Casiano, M.D.
Northwestern University Medical School, Michael Reese Hospital, American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association.
Experienced psychiatrist providing evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression and lifecycle issues in women (including those related to pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause).
Leo I. Jacobs, M.D.
Catholic University of Louvain Medical School, Illinois State Psychiatric Institute, Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
As a clinical psychiatrist Dr. Jacobs provides treatment (both psychotherapy and psychotropic medication) for anxiety, mood disorders, attention deficit disorders and specializes in the treatment of bipolar disorder giving special attention to diet and sleep patterns. Dr. Jacobs is also Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital.
